What is a Share Worth?
We wanted to take a day and explain what we sell and what it means to us and the people who buy from us.
The word “Share” means that you are taking part in something and play a role in it.
By buying from us, you are sharing in the production of your food, not just buying from a big ag conglomerate.
When you buy from us we can feel joy in knowing that we are helping you nourish your body in the best way possible. You can feel joy knowing you are helping a working family sustain themselves.
You are buying from a family who raises your food with love and gives the animals a lot of time and attention.
Our animals aren’t just numbers.
We know each one and their individual quirks.
Our children know them and are learning to care for them too.
We give our animals the best life they can have living as God intended their species to live.
We don’t have grocery store prices.
You may wonder why…
The reason is that raising these animals this way is very labor intensive.
It is very difficult to impossible to hold an off-farm job and care for these animals in the way they should be cared for.
If we undercharge we will be unable to continue, and then as such, you will be unable to get your beef and milk from us.
Farming is a 24/7/365 job.
In the blistering heat of summer and the biting cold of winter we are still caring for the animals that make food for you and us.
Here is an explanation of what Beef and Milk Shares actually are:
Beef Shares
Glory 7 sells whole and half shares.
This means a whole or half animal.
The reason it’s called a share is you don’t just get meat.
(You could, but we recommend you get more!)
You are getting a share of all useable parts of the animal.
Meat & organs for eating.
Bone for bone broth (very high in protein and chock full of nutrients).
Fat for cooking and cosmetics.
One thing that is very different about Glory 7 is that we offer our customers the ability to FULLY customize their share.
This is not something regularly seen.
There is no “standard-this-is-what-you-get” here.
We are unique in that you are getting your animal, and your animal only.
And exactly the style of meats that fit your family best.
“Pasture raised” or conventionally grain fed beef simply cannot compete with real, 100% Grass Finished Beef in taste or quality!
(We know you read our mini-book for that explanation!)
Milk Shares
One share of milk from St. Brigid Creamery at Glory 7 Farm & Ranch means:
You can drink just over 18oz of milk a day … for about $2.16 … how much do you spend on a daily latte?
Or a fast food snack?
Fresh Unprocessed Milk is a SUPERFOOD!
What can you do with your milk every day?
Drink it.
Put it in cereal.
Add vanilla for a special treat!
Make pudding.
Skim the cream for your coffee or take more and make butter!
Keep thinking! You can do more!
If you buy more than one share, you’ll have extra for making your own butter and cheese!
Butter, yogurt, kefir, cheese, ice cream … made from our milk are incalculably healthier than those same things from the store!
What is your health and that of your family worth to you?
We hope this gave you and your family a little “food” for thought.
Blessings from the whole fam at Glory 7!
